Guild Disbanded

Hi everyone,

This post is to let you know that as of the 28th May 2010, The Marquis Alliance will be closing it's doors and we will all be going our seperate ways.

over the last 6 years, we (Stan and I) have met some wonderful people and I will be taking with me some very cherished memory's from all of you.

Way back in 2004 we played Startrek Bridge Commander, and that was the basis of our clan/guild. Back in the early days we played with military presision and fun was had all round with our wars and diplomatic ties to other clans.

Through the years as well as BC we've played Wolfenstien ET, Freelancer, and a selection of MMO's including Guildwars, Starwars Galaxy's and more recently World of Warcraft, and in every game we've met interesting colourful people alot of which I still regard as friends.

Those of you that are still part of TMA will probably be shocked to be reading this email, but the fact of the matter is that over the last year, we've seen a substantial decline in active members, mainly due to personal lives and people going off to war. So I've decided that it's time to call it a day.

For anyone wanting to stay in touch, you can look me up on facebook ( Lee Trow ) where you'll see stan in my friends list, or Skype lee.trow and anyone one thats not interested, it was nice knowing 99.99% of you ( I still hate blazien ) (joking James).

So, with a lump in my throat, it's time to say good bye guys, I hope I see you all in the future.

Thinking of join TMA for World of Warcraft

If you're reading this, you are probably looking for a friendly guild that looks after it's members and is always willing to help. You may have run into us on occasion, often working together or helping passers by on the Archimonde server (Alliance side)

Rules

We have very few rules, the rules that we have are for the benefit of everyone, you can find them by clicking on the Guild Rules Link under the modules list on the left hand side of the screen.

Requirements

As you may already have been told, we do have a few requirements that you will have to meet to join:

[] We have older members, and so, new members have to be at least 16 years of age, this helps people relax and talk about whatever they want (in our channels and internal forums) without worry of scarring young children.

[] You must have a microphone and be willing to use it, every member comes into our Ventrilo channel and talks with the other members, if you do not have one, you will find guild chat a lonely place.

[] A sense of humour.

What are the benefits of joining TMA?

Besides lively banter and a lot of laughs, you will find people always willing to lend a hand, whether it be a difficult quest, Instance or spare ingredients to grind your profession.
You also get to be part of something great. TMA has been around for almost 6 years and has been playing WoW for over 2 years, we are still building up our characters and reputation in the World of Warcraft, you have a chance to make a real difference.

Joining

If you would like to join, please register then post an application in the Clan Membership Applications section of the public forums. If you meet the requirements, you will probably be accepted and someone will give you access to the Ventrilo Server and the internal forums as well as guild your Character(s) in game.

Security Update

IMPORTANT: Because our site is seeing very little visitors as a result of our downloads and also for the fact that we are getting slammed by mass downloading programs we have adopted a new system which requires a password.

We are sorry for the inconvenience, but it is a damn shame we need to use such a system because of some users. We have made the attempt to make the downloads easier to get for users compared to the mass downloading apps. Our last resort will be to require registration for all features, and I don't want to do that.

Directions: To download a file, you need to retype the displayed password (displayed in green), and click "Fetch It". A few moments later you will receive the download dialog or you will be directed to the appropriate site. Since the password may be difficult for many to read, you can also click the help button for a clearer picture of the password.

This shouldn't cause much of an upheaval as I know many of you don't even download things other then Ventrillo, this is purely to stop unwanted sites using our bandwidth.

Website Update

As you may have noticed, our website has recently gone through an update, The theme was decided on by the council as the best of a selection that would best suit the clans needs. The old themes are still available, but it was decided that a new look was needed.

As well as the new Theme, you might also have noticed that the site has some background music to accompany the new look, this will however only be audible while your on the main page as not to cause any annoyance, It can also be stopped by using the Media Player control panel to the right hand side of the main page below the login block.

I've also added some more games that can be found by click on the FlashGames link on the left hand side in the modules box, there's quite a few to choose from for when you need to relax or when the SWG severs are down. If you have any questions, Comments or suggestions please post them in the website administration section of the forums and I'll be pleased to discuss them with you.
